Pancake In The City

Well I've already finished 4 of 6 hours of my driving part of Driver's Ed. Once I get my certificate, I can go get my learner's permit. North Carolina is one of those redneck states where most kids have driven trucks by age 10, so I can get my permit at 15. :D

Anyway, tomorrow I get to deal with city traffic! :(

And I won't be able to go 55 mph in the city. The highway is not scary at all.

For something slightly off-topic: At a rest stop in a different part of the county, I saw this sign that said "NO PARKING FROM <here> TO <there>. THIS AREA MONITORED BY NC STATE POLICE-- ALL CRIMINALS PARTICIPATING IN IMMORAL CONDUCT WILL BE PROSECUTED." Immoral conduct? :confused:Don't they mean "criminal"? Then again, this is North Carolina we're talking about...

it means that if you and a close friend start getting a little passionate during those times in that area, as long as you've not got a criminal record, you're OK.

ALL CRIMINALS PARTICIPATING IN IMMORAL CONDUCT WILL BE PROSECUTED."

see?

Sounds like a anti curb crawling/prostitution initiative...

They are referring to prostitution, that type of things which tends to be popular at truck stops/rest areas at night, especially in wooded areas. It is just easier to say immoral as otherwise you get little kids asking what it means when they say no blowjobs, handjobs, etc

Unless, of course, the immoral conduct is also illegal, thus rendering you criminal. Wheels within wheels, my friend.
