Don't misunderstand me, I'm convinced that we should be in Iraq, I just don't like the way we went about it and the way it's being conducted.

But Mellencamp earlier told RollingStone.com: "They didn't give me a reason why she couldn't come. We asked why and they said, 'She can't fit here, period.' "

Wow! What? Like never?

Yeah, doing it better could have overridden their entire culture/religion.

dunno? did you read it all? The case where they let Jackson in and not whats her face actress was back in 2004.

Before He announced he was becoming a Muslim. When at that time Whats her face Actress was a known protester... Jackson wasn't.

Uh anyway.. what was the point of this thread again?

Maybe someone just doesn't like her singing.

Anyway, that's not as bad as diverting a a transalantic flight to Washington to Maine cause it contained that infamous terrorist, Yusuf Islam* and then the next day deporting him back to the UK.

So, the guy doesn't want a dissenting voice, yet claims to protect the right to dissent.

In their slang, SSDD.

Having an actual plan when we went in would have helped. Developing a real plan now (instead of the leap and scream, throw in more troops "plan" we have now) would be outstanding. It would be exceptional if Colin Powell were in charge.

Why assume it was a political issue? It's a hospital after all.
Let loose a bag of musty sentiment? Very unsanitary :p

You know what they call a bag of must at Walter Reed?

Continued excellence in cleanliness.

Seriously though, has she done anything recently? If so, did it somehow not suck? I'm kind of surprised to hear she's not dead!
Warning, Will Robinson! Bitch radiation alert! Bogons, bogons, bogons!
Is it completely out of the question that she'd depart from the playlist and deliver some really awful poetry about how Iraq == Vietnam ? Could that really be something anyone would want ??

Yes, well. Michael Jackson actually preforms origional music. Ms. Baez has made a career of covering other musicians. Not that that's any reason to ban her from Walter Reed, but, frankly, given enough armed men between me and him, I'd rather have Jackson there.
