I don't know why this would be banned. It's not like he's asking someone do his homework for him, he's asking people to answer a poll so he can use the results for a project he's doing himself.

wouldn't it be better if you just asked 100 people you know, it's not that much and at least you'd get somewhat serious answers.

Also, why would you bother to repost a thread just to add a poll, when you can add the poll through the thread tools menu anyway?
