Well, today at uni I was ambushed by probably the most contradicting political group I have yet to encounter, the Citizens Electoral Council, an offshoot of the Larouche Movement. They are incredibly hard to categorize, some of their policies seem to be quite left-wing, such as nationalization of the economy, while I was told by many tutors in govt at the uni that they are a racist right-wing group.

You'll probably see this looking at wiki articles or whatnot about them, it's hard to put their viewpoint in a box, albeit the women I spoke to seemed to indicate they are against left-wing environmental groups, and think global warming/Al gore theory is a hoax by (you better believe it) big business to force third world countries into devastating carbon trading systems and ruin the global economy. Now I myself can follow most political points, but I literally could not get the point being made, I read their 'newspaper' on the bus home, and it rambled on for paragraph after paragraph first linking Al Gore to some vast conspiracy and then to the Queen of England with her secret Cayman Island hedge fund conspiracy, but it had no clear point. You can read the articles here if you like:

It seems to me that they are trying to appeal to a broad base ideology, attracting left and right wing support while attacking people on both sides, she also told me that the Democrats are linked to some fascist group.

I literally have no idea whether to like them or not, they praise Labor politicians like Curtin and Chiffley, who personally for me are the greatest politicians Australian has ever produced. I actually said to the girl I admired Chiffley because he actually tried to implement a socialist policy, but she seemed to think he wasn't a socialist but a nationalist who believed in protectionism.

Lyndon LaRouche is batshit insane and his group is considered a borderline cult. Not much more to say than that.

I think the Objectivist movement is also considered a borderline political cult by a lot of libertarian writers...

Did every article mention LeRoach again in the CEC paper? After all it can't carry any legitimacy without LeRouche's great utterances being mentioned.

In a strange coincidence I was talking to a CEC person at my uni within the last couple of hours.

I've also come to the conclusion that anything the CEC is for, I should probably be against.
