Nix the ds. Don't worry, Nintendo will put out another cute cheap toy soon enough. :D

Keep the DS for now...it has a larger game library and better games overall.

I question why you have to get rid of one of them, though...why not keep both?

(I would have a more educated opinion but as neither one can be emulated on even my monster of a computer with any great proficiency...)

well due to me wanting money a friend of mine has offered me a stupid amount of money £25O for which ever one i do sell (ha ha) i think i might sell the psp as i find psp games just dont work on a handheld they should be stuck on a console as it would be much more fun then that damm finger cramping psp

Sell the DS, buy a new DS and you still made a profit. I fail to see how you didn't realize this already. The DS isn't even 250 USD and I know the pound is worth around $2. I don't know what the DS costs over there but I doubt that it is several times what it costs here.
This also makes your friend an idiot. Wow, according to the UK gaming sites I checked, they both cost the same there, and well under what he is offering you. Idiot++

Keep the DS, it has better games. There's a reason over three times as many DSes have been sold as PSPs!

Nintendo owns the licenses to 90% of all recognizable characters and expends a good bit of their budget on advertising?

The PSP was designed to bring the PS2 experience whereever you go, which is why you should sell it. The DS was designed for handheld gaming. It's a fun experience. So what if it had Mario this and Mario that? He's Mario. Mario's always fun. Well, except for that cd-i turd of a console, but everything cd-i sucks. If God of War or Halo made it to the cd-i, they would suck too. Horribly.

DS has Nintendo. Nintendo has Shiggy. Shiggy makes Mario and Zelda. Enough said.

Exactly... also the PSP was designed to bring the power consumption and load times of a console wherever you go.

From what I understand, each of the top 15 games on the DS are outselling the top #1 game on the PSP. At least, that's what my roommate tells me--I don't know what his source is, but I'll be sure to ask when I see him next.

Regardless, once again, Nintendo butchers another "rival" on the handheld market. No, butcher is too mild a word. How about: butchers, cooks on a rotisserie, and devours it and its children with a nice chianti and some fava beans?

Luke Smith (Who used to be the news editor at 1-UP until he left on Friday/Saturday to go work at Bungie) likened it to a retarded kid on a bike being hit by a semi-trailer.

keep em both.

with a 4 gig mem stick, you can turn your PSP into a MP3 player, video player as well as a game player.

and you can keep your DS for games.

I also have both, and right now, I'm switching between the two.

Emerge fanboys, your time to continue the 20 year rant about how great the new Zelda and Mario games are. Although if you've been paying attention they haven't really changed, but you're all too bullheaded and arrogant to admit it.

Nintendo sucks, your games are for children, stop trying to bash the rest of gaming world because you've realized you devoted yourself to a company run by Michael Jackson.

normally I would agree, but Trace Memory, FFIII and Lost In Blue are pretty well done.

then again, for the PSP, i'm playing 1 golf game, 1 gambling game, legend of Heroes I II and III...

Nintendo fanbois are the worst of the worst. I once had a blanced view on all games, but that ended wihen PS1 was released.

"While Goldeneye is an awesome game, I like the in depth story of Final Fantasy 7."

"Lolaxzozcxasadazcx ff7 and metal grea sucx. Link could kikc Cluosd sass nyday lolasdoa."

That's right... beginning an argument with "I hate Nintendo fanboys" and then going off on a fanboyish rant is not the way to win respect or the argument.

Also while Nintendo does do a lot of sticking to formula. They usually change the games enough to keep it interesting while keeping a working method intact. If it ain't broke. Try to fix it in spin-offs.

From what I heard Portable Ops would have been a lot better on the PS2... in fact that's probably the main non-hardware complaint I hear about the PSP. That's why it's a bad idea that needs to die. Not because the games are bad, but because they would be so much better on a big screen with a proper controller.

and the same for most of the DS games... not all of them make full use of the touch screen.

what makes the PSP better than the DS tho is it's versitility. MP3 player, Video Player, Pic display as well as games.

tired of playing games, pop in a UMD movie or call up one you downloaded... or play some tunes... all in one unit.

90% of its games can be rated either G or PG. Someone's trying to draw in a younger audience, and excuse me for feeling defensive when this entire forum is a Nintendo/left wing/right wing puppets guided by left winger's orgy.

You might have a point there, but not all of the ones that fall into that category count as "should be on a console" games, and the GBA is dead.

Why is a game not being M or MA rated a bad thing? Why do people keep using ratings as a minimum age guide instead of a maximum like it's supposed to be?

I like mature games, and honestly nothing Nintendo sells appeals to me because of that. Zelda and Mario, etc don't have that deep plot and grand story like Okami, The FFs, and Valkyrie Profile.

Games I bought recently: Valkyrie Profile II, Okami, Resident Evil 4 (not available on the Wii for some bizarre reason), Gears of War, God of War II, and Dead Rising. While the Wii has a fun and innovative system, their games just don't appeal to me at all.

Those are all good games, even Dead Rising which has interface problems. Keep up the good work.

I care more about games than the consoles supporting them. If I had more money, and the Wii came out with a few more attractive games, I'd get one.

As someone who loves PS...PS3 sucks donkey grundle.
