First thing that comes to mind is 'chasing cars' by snow patrol. I still can't believe I stood through a whole concert of them last year, waiting for Beck and Radiohead at pukkelpop festival, while I could have been listening to My Morning Jacket.

Fortunately, it wasn't the kind of thing that gets stuck in one's head, which is what often happens with bad music, making it particularly annoying.

I don't think "acoustic black metal" is the right name for it though... maybe "guy trying to make himself vomit while other guy makes (literal) noise with a guitar".

While it certainly is not great, I always thought that the fact that there are no musical instruments; it's all voice(and all Bobby McFerrin's voice) was rather creative.

Yep Hollaback Girl would be on my list, that newish song by Beyounce and Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne, which might just be the one most annoying song i have ever heard.

that song by gwen stefani ranks pretty high, you know the one which goes weee-ooooo (then higher and more irritating) weeeeeeeeeee-oooooooooooooo, video makes me want to smash stuff too
