What general fields are you particularly good/interested in?
For me, they're physics, mathematics, some aspects of history and programming.
Mathematics in particular fascinates me. Every aspect of it is simply amazing, and the things you can do are simply beautiful and all-encompassing.
It's the only thing in which you can actually prove something indisputably, in comparison to even the most basic or most complex aspects of science.
I quite honestly believe that, without mathematics, no aspects of actual civilization would be possible.
Yourself?
Oh dear. :D
Someone had to do it. But on topic, maths is interesting when it's not melting my brain.
Which it is most of the time.
:(
As in general interests?
Music, history (pretty much all eras, but especially 20th century history), politics, philosophy, economics, astronomy, physics, aviation...

Blast you Ifreann - that was the first thing I thought of when I saw this topic!
Anyways, I'm a Maths and Chemistry person - chemistry relies quite heavily on maths in areas, so it's nice for me.
My interests lie heavily in Genetics. The fact that something so simple has given rise to something so complicated as us is, to me, absolutely amazing.

I'm involved in a love-hate relationship with computing at the minute, but I've always been a mathematician and a critical thinker. I'm interested in Philosophy too, but this damned computing always seems to interfere with my wish to read around.

History (Tudor, mostly, but English history in general from 1300-1750), music (interested in, not particularly good at), alcohol (by which I mean I know a fair bit about it, not that I'm good at drinking...), sport (football, cricket, golf, snooker...various others), chess (now there's something I am good at)...and...erm...sleeping. :p
Oh, and trivia. I know far too much.

Football, basketball, baseball,20th century history, law, politics.
The first three i like to watch on tv and go to games as much as possible. The fourth one i like to read about, the fifth one is my job, the sixth one (hopefully) will be my job in a few years.

Well my degree majors were in psychology and philosophy, so I guess those two, though I end up at the grass roots of philosophy far more often (ethics, especially).
Innovation in technology? Not sure if that is a real category or not.
Every so often I try (and fail) to understand quantum theory...

Physics, Mathematics and Biology. Physic is great because it can explain phenomenas around us and math is pretty much the language of physics. I always get fascinated by how we can explain so much with some simple formulas. It's like numbers are everywhere in the universe in so many different shapes and we just have to find them.
I also like Psychology, Social studies and English.

What about muddy fields?
English and history, and a wee bit of physics. I love English, I love creative writing, I just get into this flow where it's idea after idea after idea.

Well, I'm looking at a double major in Politics and International Political Economy, but I'm also fairly good at Writing (when I can be arsed to actually sit down and write whatever I have in mind), Music, and, to my utter shock, apparently I'm decent at acting.

Philosophy.

Music especially (being my degree subject), but I'm not much of a performer, I'm more interested in the history and analysis (and composition). So history, philosophy, some areas of politics, computing, some areas of physics.
History. I'm very good at it, and I enjoy studying it.
History, which is extremely embarassing since 90% of NSG is far better at it than I am.

fields? good? ummm, i'm okay at some things in geography and archaeology. they are also what i'm interested in. i was never particularly good at anything at school, my best subjects were biology and geography though, glaciology was my particular interest in geography although i don't do physical geography anymore. biology was just mind numbingly easy/dull. i'm a competent guitarist too.

Hey now!
I just got finished going through thousands of papers (No, seriously, thousands.) for class. I threw out a stack of papers 5 inches tall, and now I have a 3 inch stack of work to read through and answer questions and write reports on.. :(
I took a little break, and as soon as I eat lunch (I didn't go to school today, and woke up at 1:30..), I'm going back into the hell that is productivity.
On a lighter note, I just ate a coffee flavoured kitkat.. Odd tasting little candy.

I like music, but I don't think I'm good at it. Some people (like my dad, who was a music teacher, and both of my former chorus teachers) say that I have a good voice, but I have come to hate my voice when I sing. For I while I cried whenever I tried to sing because I just kept yelling at myself. I also stopped taking chorus to make room for more academic subjects.

If your teachers say you have a good voice, you probably have - and dropping creativity for academics will make you boring like me! Not something I'd suggest...

I probably do, but I hated it for a while. I couldn't reach the really really high notes as easily as I used to be able to.
I just really enjoy exploring a wide variety of academic subjects. Chorus was causing me a lot of stress anyway.

I used to have a good voice, apparently, although I never believed other people when they said so. I kept singing Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera and Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell in class while working, and people kept trying to get me to sing at other times. Needless to say, I refused.
Then up come the preparations for the Christmas service, and what do they do? Leave me singing the last verse of some random hymn alone, completely unaware because I was concentrating so much.
I never forgave them, even after my music teacher complimented me. Evil, sneaky people!

Music (3 weeks and a lot of work away from finishing a music degree), physics (particularly astrophysics), history and languages. I'm good at maths and enjoyed it up until the second year of A Level, which is when I lost interest.
Chemistry, history, religion, writing, negotiating my way onto overcrowded flights, business (turning my meager savings into something less meager).
