Video of John McCain singing "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran" to the tune of Barbara Ann.

The strange deterioration of John McCain has taken a turn for the worse. Whether or not a case
could be made for military action against Iran, it seems bizarre and stupid to sing "Bomb Iran"
to the tune of an old Beach Boys song.

I have been a McCain supporter - But in the past few months, his actions and words have seem to become reckless and dishonest. Is this an inevitable symptom of courting the far-right base? Could it be a result of age-related dementia? Or were these his true colors all along?

I remember the first time I heard that. It was 1979, during the hostage crisis. It got old real quick then, and I was only eleven at the time.

I like Iran. :(

At least moreso than 90% of their neighbors including Israel.

So, McCain's insane. And don't you know it, I'm a poet.

I saw a clip of him doing that on the news. It actually disturbed me even more than the images from the video the VT shooter sent to NBC, because, you know, we already knew the VT shooter was crazy. The silence from his audience was telling as well. Imagine what it must have been like to be in the room with him, watching him slip into that and then try to pull himself out again. It was really horrible.

So I call it as official: McCain has lost it.

As I read it, he did it for comic relief. However, he is a known candidate for the position as head of our country. To make such statements that indicate threats to nations was a very tasteless and unnecessary move.

Look on the bright side. This all but seals the deal. He's not going to be president of anything besides his own fan club.

But guys, John McCain is a war hero!

It's his right as an American hero to sing this song!

If he doesn't, the terrorists win!

And you don't want the terrorists to win, do you?

I am Iranian, and I would much rather live in Israel than Iran in it's current state. And I also like Iran, but I deeply hate the government. And Mcain is just a fool. He even pronounced Iran wrong. No one is running.

Are you actually from Iran? Or are you just ethnically Persian?

When are elections in Iran? Not that it really matters with the selection process I suppose...

1. He was making a (rather poor) joke.

2. He later went on to say that Military force should only be used as an absolute last resort.

If you're going to trash McCain, base it on his policies and voting record. Don't base it on an offkey sung to a guy that's probably crazier than he is.

Aren't his judgment and mental state reasonable concerns? When you couple this incident with the bizarre statement he made about the relative safety of Bagdad, you really have to start wondering if he is still all there.

We arn't bashing him on his inability to sing, it's on his history of increasingly poor judgment calls.

At the rate he's going, he'll be retiring from the Senate when his term is up. He certainly won't be in the Oval Office.
