Whether you're in university now, or were - how many of these applied to you?
1. His parents never visited him on campus.
2. He never went home during vacations according to one dorm mate.
3. He was very shy and withdrawn, reference to suicide.
4. No eye contact, wearing sunglasses indoors.
5. Disturbing, violent writings in his English writing and poetry classes.
6. Appearance of repressed anger, sullenness.
7. Alleged stalking of female students.
8. Referred for student mental health counseling.
9. No friends, no normal interactions with other students.
10. Considered to be suicide risk by at least one professor.

Not that we're worried you'll go postal on us.... but just out of curiousity...

As an example, 1 and 2 were true of me (parents never visited, I never went home on vacation) because I was paying for college myself.

Oooh, comparing myself to a homocidal maniac. Joy of joys.

1. His parents never visited him on campus.

True. I lived with my parents. :p

2. He never went home during vacations according to one dorm mate.

False. I lived at home.

3. He was very shy and withdrawn, reference to suicide.

Meh. Not really.

4. No eye contact, wearing sunglasses indoors.

False.

5. Disturbing, violent writings in his English writing and poetry classes.

I only took one English class, and I didn't write anything disturbing for it. I save that for my spare time.

6. Appearance of repressed anger, sullenness.

Only when i'm hungry.

7. Alleged stalking of female students.

Only when i'm hungry.

8. Referred for student mental health counseling.

Only whe...wait, no.

9. No friends, no normal interactions with other students.

Nope. Well, depends. I had friends at university, but pretty much all of them went to my high school and i'd known them from there. I didn't make many new friends.

10. Considered to be suicide risk by at least one professor.

Don't know. Never asked. :)

1. His parents never visited him on campus.
True. I lived with my parents.
2. He never went home during vacations according to one dorm mate.
Someone on campus may well have said that about me. So maybe.
3. He was very shy and withdrawn, reference to suicide.
Aspie coves the first two. And I did discuss suicide a lot - I was a Philosophy student. So another yes.
4. No eye contact, wearing sunglasses indoors.
Aspie again. And it was like 1992. So yes. Shades indoors were cool.
5. Disturbing, violent writings in his English writing and poetry classes.
Isn't the whole point of English classes to convince your professors you're nuts? Yes.
6. Appearance of repressed anger, sullenness.
If sullenness = repressed anger, then yes.
7. Alleged stalking of female students.
I sometimes give people the wrong impressions, so yes.
8. Referred for student mental health counseling.
No. I didn't interact enough with anyone for this to happen.
9. No friends, no normal interactions with other students.
By third year all my friends had flunked out, so yes.
10. Considered to be suicide risk by at least one professor.
Probably not.

So, about 7.5 out of 10.

Which just shows how indicative these characteristics aren't.

1. My parents visited only to bring me home at the ends of school years - my college was well over a thousand miles away, and my family is not extremely wealthy.
2. I went home for some vacations, though not all. Again, 1300-mile trips are a wee bit expensive to take on a regular basis.
3. I was (and still am) shy in some ways and outgoing in others, and I talked about my suicidal tendencies with a few of my close friends.
4. I have never had a problem with eye contact.
5. My writings may have been weird, but were rarely even remotely violent.
6. I am the antithesis of sullen.
7. The closest I have ever come to stalking anyone was taking a particular class in part because a cute guy I rather liked was in it.
8. Yup.
9. Well, it depends how you define "normal" interactions, but I unquestionably had friends. :)
10. Yup.

So, what, that's about...five out of ten, maybe? Somehow I doubt I'm likely to start shooting people, just the same.

1 & 2 don't apply to me because I lived at home.

The only ones that really do are 5 and 6...

1. His parents never visited him on campus.
Probably would be true.
2. He never went home during vacations according to one dorm mate.
I probably wouldn't go home on vacations, but I would go somewhere.
3. He was very shy and withdrawn, reference to suicide.
I appear shy because I don't make small talk or really, any talk at all. But it's not really shyness, per se. Just disillusionment with the species.
4. No eye contact, wearing sunglasses indoors.
Definitely not the sunglasses! wouldn't that just draw more attention to yourself?
5. Disturbing, violent writings in his English writing and poetry classes.
My writing is very dark, controversial and such (not violent or disturbed, I don't think). People who didn't know me very well would probably assume this was true.
6. Appearance of repressed anger, sullenness.
Same as above, 'appearance' of such.
7. Alleged stalking of female students.
Nope.
8. Referred for student mental health counseling.
Wouldn't interact enough for this to become an issue.
9. No friends, no normal interactions with other students.
I have friends, but most of them are on different continents, so again people would assume this to be true.
10. Considered to be suicide risk by at least one professor.
Probably would be assumed so.

So, in my estimation my real score would be 2/10 but people who didn't know me very well would say 7 or 8/10.
So, there yah go - meaningless. I am somewhat surprised to have answered like Llewdor did, though.

I lived in a dorm all three years, had family come and visit, and college was the only time in my life when I was actually social. Hell, I actually began dating in college and am now, against all odds, married. But that's neither here nor there.

The only one that even slightly applies to me is #8, and a friend did recommend that I go to our university's counseling service. I went for a few weeks, and maybe it helped and maybe it didn't (I went there to try and help myself get over a girl...I had never really been in love before that, I fell hard for her, and it turns out she was a backstabbing bitch...that was kind of hard for me to accept at the time.)

The others? Not even close. Aside from that, I don't even know how to fire a gun.

1. His parents never visited him on campus.
Visiting parents is more for first grade, no?
2. He never went home during vacations according to one dorm mate.
Always did.
3. He was very shy and withdrawn, reference to suicide.
Scratch suicide, yes to shyness.
4. No eye contact, wearing sunglasses indoors.
Until about 9th grade, not in university. And no sunglasses.
5. Disturbing, violent writings in his English writing and poetry classes.
Only disturbing, violent drawings during whatever classes bored me.
6. Appearance of repressed anger, sullenness.
Dunno how I 'appeared'.
7. Alleged stalking of female students.
No one caught me... eh... wait...
8. Referred for student mental health counseling.
Nah.
9. No friends, no normal interactions with other students.
Nope.
10. Considered to be suicide risk by at least one professor.
If I were LG, I'd replace this "by" with "for", but I'm not.

I can't tick any, but that is because I was deemed to be too dangerously homocidal to go to University. *Sigh* Discrimination rears its ugly head.
