Looking for the top three most interesting or thought provoking questions to ask one of the premiere modern historians of our time. You may choose to note i did say modern historan. His specialty is history of the current Bush administration and his sources are unprecidented access to the top leadership of the country and access to the Situation Room etc.

Why don't you ask him something like, "given the progress of the last 50 years, where do you see the world in another 50?"
Or one of the tried and true ones like, "what if the byzantine empire had not fallen?", or "what if the persians had succeeded in their invasion?"
EDIT: oh, modern historian, k sorry.

try to find an intelligent way to ask if dick cheney or karl rove are really in charge of this administration acting as puppetmaster over puppetpresident bush.

id really like to know what he thinks of bush's abilities.

I'd like to ask what he thinks about how/if History stands up in the face of popular skepticism of the media. What role does History and Journalism play in a world of such deep distrust of those who would give us our information?
