I know I already posted this but it was in the wrong forum.

What would the world be like if all the pollution in the world became jello or pudding mix?

Only if it mixed with the oceans, the good thing is tons of mix powder would pile up where there is massive air pollution but no water giving poor people easy food. All they need to do is heat it up in water then cool it down.

But if all the pollution in the air happened to be jello (which was a scenario) it would fall out of the sky and kill us.

Thats pretty funny come to think of it...

That depends on what you classify as pollution. It could kill just about everyone on the planet if the definition is too broad or it could do absolutely nothing at all.

though at the time authorities were quick to blame bomb throwing anti-war anarchists.

(obligatory text written by me. blech.)At the time, authorities everywhere were quick to blame everything on anarchists. Sort of like Pat Robertson & gays these days.

Much, possibly all, the reason we anarchists have such a terrible rep to this day, is the intense anti-socialist propaganda from back then. It seems to be because workers at the time found various forms of socialism very appealing, and thus threatned the ruling class' privileges.

It's been so damn effective that almost a century after the fact, it's still institutionalized that we can't teach eachother about competing socio-political and economic theories, only different approaches to the same single theory. Hell, most people these days think anarchism describes a power vacuum, in which factions war for a monopoly on power and the ones with the biggest guns wins - which of course, is authoritarianism, just not in the form of a monopoly, and as such, the exact opposite of anarchism.

EDIT:

On topic a sec: everything can be a pollutant. It's a matter of volumes and content. If the world's pollution was transformed into jello, it's still be pollution. It'd still be destructive to the biosphere. It'd almost certainly still cause disease and poverty, but it might make homeless people move into the nearest landfill.
