Don Imus and racism

I'm sure most of you are aware of the scandal surrounding Don Imus and his firing. The use of the phrase "nappy headed hoes", is a very racist statement, but their are many problems associated with how the nation, and the rutgers womens basketball team, handeled this:

1. Don Imus is an IDIOT, and many people knew this about him/his show, he clearly should not be taken seriously, if nothing else for this.

2. Kind of ties in with 1, but, Imus also made racist comments about all races before on his show, but it seems like as soon as al sharpton gets involved, it suddenly matters.

3. The Rutgers womens basketball team asked for a face to face apology from Imus on national t.v, even though Imus made a public apology numerous times. It seems contradictory to degrade ones apology by using the same medium that you are degrading.

this all leads to a much greater issue about how we deal with racism. I heard about a test that has been conducted to show if you have a preference for a race, this test was given to a group of people an the datline t.v show. Most people, espescially whites, showed a preference for whites. They all were outwardly ashamed at this subconcious racism. Yet there was one exception. A black woman tested as haveing a prference for blacks, instead of being ashamed, as the ones who preferred white were, she was proud to "represent her race" or some other kind of B.S. This, along with many other people in positions held highly by the public who are obviously racist against whites (al sharpton), send a message that it is okay to hatee whites, after all we did enslave blacks 250 ears ago. B.S! just like middle-easterns who do not wish to be classified with terrorists, I despose being grouped in with people who were racist 40 years ago. It is not valid to assume every black convict became so because of their race

As for "the white man bringing the black man down." THAT IS AN INCOME ISSUE!!!! big buisnesses that takes over small buisness areas has nothing to do with race, it is rather rich people moving in on land they can buy from poor people. Just because most poor people are black is irrelevent, so stop making it an issue! I am compleatly open to questions and/or comments.
