How did you react to the movie?

It seems to fall into one of three categories.

I thought it wasn’t as funny as it could have been. It was also marred by being a little too close to home, thus inspiring a fatalistic depression (which does not lead to a successful movie).

I have been showing this movie to as many people as I can and asking for their reactions. So far it seems to follow a fairly predictable pattern.

People of better than average intelligence get depressed because that vision of the future is a lot closer than 500 years away, those of below average intelligence were personally insulted (if they understood the movie as satire), and those of middling intelligence seem to waffle between seeing the film as just overly cynical or as an elitist’s incoherent ranting.

There are times when I am really tempted to order a full body latte with extra foam.
Fortunately I can resist such impulses because I rarely ever set foot in a starbucks.

I haven't seen the movie, and in fact not even a trailer; the only thing I've seen locally is the vitruvian man-styled poster. According to what I've read Fox has "intentionally" underpromoted it.
