... and I support Congress in their battle with President Bush.

The more they prolong their fight, the less they will be able to focus on doing anything else. The more they drag this out, the more bitter the relationship will be between the two branches, which will keep them from working together in the future. And the less they can act now and later, the less they can act to interfere in my life.

I love gridlock.

Infighting between the executive branch and the legislative branch is nothing new. But that doesn't mean laws won't get passed and they won't have some effect on your life. If anything I expect to see quite a few interesting laws happen in this congress' time.

The last six years are certainly an argument against one party rule. Won't stop me from campaigning for the Democrat in 2008, however.

That government is best which Governs least.
That government is perfect which governs not at all.

I have constantly, and will forever, argue for the following power distribution:

A Republican/Democratic President.
A Democratic/Republican House of Representatives (opposite pf President)
An evenly split Senate.
A Supreme Court composed of Third-Party or non-affliated Justices.

And of course, a return of the movie "Cool Hand Luke" to Blockbuster shelves.

I like Douglas Adams better, "Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job." :D

Ahh, reminds me of the days of good ol' Abe. Of course, he did it on purpose, rather than because everyone hated him. It's really the best way to go.
