Financial Aid Nightmares

I was thinking back to my college days and remembering the good times I had dealing with financial aid.

This was my favorite interaction:
Them: You didn't submit your parents tax forms.
Me: I'm prior service, I'm not required to.
Them: Can't you just submit them anyway?
Me: No. It will negatively impact my grants/loans.
Them: Well, we need some sort of proof.
Me: Here's my DD-214's (discharge papers) and in my file is my letter from vetrans affairs about my GI Bill money.
Them: I don't know if this is adequate.
Me: ...

Then there was the time they turned me in for not having my SSS (draft) card. That's not unusual except for two things:
1. I'm prior service (actually a reserve at the time).
2. I'm female.

Does anyone have any fun tales?
