As far as I know, those are the only two that did the originals justice. I enjoyed the movie "The Warriors", but I never read the graphic novel.

...based on another lunchtime discussion with my co-workers. What is your favorite movie adaptation of a comic/graphic novel? Why?

My vote is Batman, with V for Vendetta running a close second.

The best Batman lines:

Joker: "This town needs an enema!"

and, of course...

Jack: "I didn't ask."

I was fairly impressed with the first X-Men movie. (The second, however, was mediocre, and the third was downright awful.)

On the bright side, all three of them featured Hugh Jackman in tight t-shirts, which made them worth the rental fee. ;)

Batman was great if you aren't comparing it to the comic.

V for Vendetta was also good if you didn't compare it to the graphic novel. I thought they changed too much for no reason.


My favorite was Sin City. I thought it was the truest to the novel.

Spider- man was decent. It captured the heart of it comic series.

Well, actually Tim Burton's Batman. For no other reason except that it is the movie that spawned the latest superhero movie craze.

While 300 was great, it didn't have Natalie Portman in it. And since I am like in love with her, I have to say V is the better movie ;)
