This is probably a commonly asked question, but I have been wondering if NSers spend time on other national simulation games outside of NS? I am not really aware of any, but just curious.
Thanks.

Oh no....

That game looks quite interesting, I would do it if I had more time maybe.

Well, there's Earth 2025 (http://games.swirve.com/earth/), the oldest of the free browser based nation sims (since 1996).
There's also Nations (http://nations.netnexus.com/).
And Cybernations, of course (http://cybernations.net).

I do Particracy, if that counts.

Hmmm, I'd say it's more a party politics sim.

Try these, they aren't browser based (and abandonware, download at your own discretion) but they should fit the category anyway:

Hidden Agenda (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_Agenda_(game))
Shadow President (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=963)
Crisis in the Kremlin (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=250)
Balance of Power (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?gameid=91)

You will probably need Dosbox (dosbox.sourceforge.net) to get them running, except for Balance of Power which should run in 32 bit windows. Not many newer offerings like that, but you may want to check out some of the games Paradox Interactive has put out as well (Victoria, Hearts of Iron, Europa Universalis to a lesser extent).

And if someone in this thread recommends Superpower, ignore them, because it's shit.

Haha, definitely makes me feel like i'm slowly getting old. I used to play that at the start of high school (and Utopia, too).

I was actually looking for a nation sim that is a persistant world if you get me, like cybernations, I kinda don't like sims like planetarian and the like which have tourny type themes that reset every so often. I like the idea of building a nation over a long period. Any particular suggestions?
