The basic premise of the game is to find the answer and use it to get to the next level. I just got to level 3 and the head scratching has begun.

Naturally there's forums (http://www.ab.fvvw.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=5) to steal clues from, and pass them off as your own.

You can use the method you used to get the answer on level 2, but you don't need to. The answer is right there, and has been since the start of the game.

It's been fairly easy so far...level 6 at the moment. I liked Level 2. :)

I had to look at hints for level 2 ><

Then I accidentally got to level 6 after looking at level 3's hints.
Then I did levels 6 and 7 by myself.
And now I'm not sure I can be bothered to look at hints for level 8.

I'm up to level 5, or at least the page that says level 5 in it. I gave up here as the answer isn't blindingly obvious to me.

It's this strange scrabble board, no idea what to do with it. Think it follows on from some other puzzle ("Remember, letter then word" it says), so I've given up. I can't even solve level three by myself. Hopeless!

I'm chugging away at level 13 at the moment. It's not too hard so far, although this one's puzzling me a bit. I did accidentally skip ahead to level 37 earlier, which was rather funny.

I think "notpron" and...whatever that other puzzle was called that's very similar to "notpron"...were better than this, though.

It is the shortcut for Notepad. The code for the page was written in Notepad. So that makes it what sort of file?

That's what I have been doing. I've tried bollocks, balls, rubbish, what, eh, no, yes, correct, false, wrong, true, right, incorrect, crap, bullshit, plus many more. As you say, the answer must be very stupid.

You probably have heard of them. The [hint] on the page is a big clue. It's not just the first letter that's a capital...

I've got it partially figured out...I think that by "without spans" it means take away the number that is in the span from the total...and the "itself" means one style, so add one to the total. The key is what the number of the total is...

I see how 17 works...see, the numbers after every style in the entire source code add up to 30, then you take "by itself" which is 1, then you take the span number again and add it to 31, and that produces 35, which is the answer. It's all about addition, with no subtraction.

And now I'm stuck on level 20.

Well, I figured out 30: Ignore the "I am black" - I have no idea what that's referring to. Concentrate on the other clue, and think in terms of the sort of objects this puzzle has mostly been referring to so far.

Heh. Somewhere in your browser, you should have a menu option that says "View source." Try it. :)

It me ageees to get #2. But only because every time I looked through the code I skimmed over the bit that says "The answer is...."

lol trying to do level 8 I skipped ahead to level 42, The same thing happened to me, too.

Oh, and thanks to Dinaverg for the page source info, it's useful for at least one other problem, too.
