This lady had cancer treatment that rendered her infertile and was trying to have embryos that were fertilized with her ex-husband's sperm implanted, but he did not give consent. I agree with the decision, as no one should be forced to become a parent against their will, but I can't help think that there must have been some way they could have worked things out, perhaps they could have signed some agreement absolving him of any responsabilities of actually being a parent and just acted as a sperm donor.
