audio embedding question

Hey everyone - do you know a site where you can upload audio files and embed them in another website (like a blog)? I ussually use putfile, but I'd rather have the play control embedded as opposed to a link for an interview i'm doing. Advice?

naw, not an NSG post, just another website, like blogspot.
I'm a bit of a technology dunce.

Well you could use youtube, just put the sound in windows movie maker and save it as a movie.

Or you could set up a myspace.

Does the blog allow you to use HTML code?

nobody knows of a site that lets you embed purely audio files? and what does myspace have to do with anything? I write for a campus political blog, on blogspot, and that is where I want to post an audio interview.

Make it into a video (maybe just put a still image as the video component), host the thing on youtube, and then imbed the youtube video.

I apologize for being a dunce, but how do I "make it into a video", or put an image in as the video component? I tried to just upload a wmp file onto youtube but that does not appear to have worked. well, it's "still processing" and has been for a while.

Windows has a program. Called something like Windows/Microsoft Movie Maker (they are creative bastards when it comes to naming). I have never used it, but it should just let you toss some audio on, and put and add a still image.

Don't.

There's nothing more annoying than getting onto a website and being attacked by some hidden audio file. Just include a link to the audio so if people want to listen they can.

That is what I like about the youtube thing, if makes you play the file, instead of just playing it when the page loads.

So I'm trying with this movie-maker thing, but it still saves it as a wma, not a wmv. and for the life of me I don't see how I'm supposed to add a picture. gaaarrrrr.

I cannot help you there. I have only used Kino (Linux) and iMovie (Mac).

I read this as "auto embedding question" and thought a revolutionary and highly automated thread starting device had been created.

Also, I demand to see the results of my labour!Well, it's just a test, because I haven't actually done the interview yet (there's two of them actually, one with my uni's student union president, the other with a very important nobel-laureate in physics {boo-yah}). Here it is, anyway.
Maybe i'll post the real interviews when they're ready if they're any good, but I'd die before telling NSG about our political blog. the last thing we need is locust-swarm of internet trolls descending on our prestigious publication!!!!
