Do you like to take hot showers or more on the cold side?

Tepid. Cool and refreshing.

I constantly adjust the temperature of the water as I shower. And anything under 20 minutes is inadequate.

Scalding hot...

Oh, it's gotta be hot. Like, just below scalding hot. The bathroom mirror and windows have to be completely fogged up when I'm done.

I hate nothing more, than a cool, or luke-warm shower, espescially a tepid one. Grrrrrrrrr.

I don't really have much choice in the matter. My one randomly loses pressure and heats up like hell

After I shower, the fire alarm just outside my bathroom door always goes off. I take my shower almost scalding, so much so that I can barely stand to be under the water longer than a minute or so.

The answer depends upon what time of year it is - Summer vs Winter, and why I am taking the shower.

If it is summer and I have just got in from the 120+ temperatures outside, then I want a cool refreshing shower - which means no extra heating of the water as the sun has already heated it to some degree. Whereas in winter, with freezing temperatures around, then I want a hot invigorating shower.

Also - to get clean, rather than just to feel good - hot water really is needed.

On this forum, it would clearly win. Gotta give the other options a chance.

If I'm bathing, I'll take a hot shower. But I also use the shower to cool off in the summertime - and on those occasions, it's the cold tap on full. Saves a bundle on air conditioning, lemme tell ya..

Hot as possible.

So hot it takes a little time before you're completely comfortable standing under it for long periods of time.

Medium, but more towards the hot side.

I only feel comfortable when I'm taking steaming hot showers. Even if it's during the summer when it's hot humid, I'll still take hot showers.

Yay for 400th post. Now I'm Sometimes Deadly.

I take 1 minute showers under very hot water (why 1 minute? Because my family's water-heater sucks, and I get yelled at if I use up all the water).

due to having kids in the house our hot water heater is turned down, so 120F is as hot as the water gets here......:(

I am much the same. Although the temperature adjustments in my case are mostly to keep it hot as the hot water runs out.

It mostly depends on the weather. I generally like to take extremely hot showers or baths, but in the Summer I'll take up to five cold showers per day.

Scalding, in lieu of things like soap and shampoo. Let the heat kill the germs, I say, and save money on sanitary products. :)

It depends on my mood, the weather, what I've been doing and why I'm taking the shower.

It depends on why I am taking it.....to get clean definately hot....in hot weather a nice cold shower to cool down. But sadly I have been in situations where I have been lucky to get a cold shower let alone any shower at all.....so one learns to adapt.

My boiler doesn't work. Whatever it's going to be that day, it is - sometimes it's nice and hot, but most of the time it's lukewarm to cold. I prefer hot though...

Hot in the winter, cool in the summer.

How is this a even a question? :p

Usually, just "hot" will do.

However, if I'm up early (or I just need a rise), I'll turn the mixture to almost full-on hot. It does wonders after a few minutes of standing under it.

Nope, its a slightly warm, yellow, salty shower. DO try again ;)

Yeah, I feel the same. Cool showers are relaxing and refreshing after exercise or a hot day. Hot showers, though, are almost like coffee in the morning.

I like hot showers, even on a hot day. Cuz on a hot day, I get out, and the evaporation cools me, plus I realize with the hot shower how comparitively cool and pleasant the normal air is. And on a cool or cold day, of course, then it's a good chance to warm up.

I do the really hot showers, and hot baths, at any time of the year. If you take a hot shower in the summer it makes the air outside the bathroom seem cooler. Is nice.

My husband takes damn near boiling baths, his skin gets bright red, but his showers are lukewarm to tepid. I constantly tease him about this... mostly because I don't understand it at all.
