Right, I'm currently adapting my screenplay called The Bunker (or something like that), which is set a few years in the future, only I can't think of a good ending!

A basic synopsis so far is that eight soldiers are taking cover in a military bunker from an enemy bombardment that is imminent. However, when the bunker is gassed and takes a direct hit it collapses and sinks underground, trapping the men inside. The men soon discover that the bunker oddly contains no food and that one of the weakest men, Pvt. Priestley has broken his leg and may have damaged his spinal chord, making him paraplegic.

Later on, at night, Pvt. Priestley is suddenly abducted and killed in the kitchen. The men quickly find him shortly after and realize that, with no other food about, they must eat him to survive. Then some of the men begin to hear noises and explore the bunker...

Any ideas to how I could climax and end this screenplay? Seeing as though the film itself is like this, they could be as farfetched or gloomy as possible. Any idea is a good idea so feel inclined to post.

All good movies end with a pie fight. *nod*

plot twists? Deus Ex Machinae? the opposing troops invade the bunker and the battle for the bunker ensues?

I'd recommend no aliens. You could do it like "Sunshine" and make it purely the actions of humans. Like, one of the soldiers actually killed the paraplegic guy.

Make it a psychological thing. All the men die (bar maybe one or two for dramatic climax) as a result of their own responses to the horrors they see therein rather than at the hands of enemies or monsters or aliens or whatnot. They are being killed by their own delusions as a result of chemical warfare tactics used on them.

Of course, this means you can get away with innumerably many red herrings at the same time, since each soldier will see things from their own perspectives, none of which need necessarily agree. Which is neat.

Rename him Colonel Sanders, and have someone comment: "Mmm, tastes like chicken" when they're eating him.

Apart from the one mentioned (The Bunker) theres also a movie set in WW1 of similar theme, complete with injured unit member, whose name escapes me at the moment. Plus "Bunker sinking undergound" is a bit dodgy. 'They retreat to the lower levels during shelling and find the way they came in blocked afterwards when they come back up to check' sounds more plausible,

In 1992, a London circus hired Amercian clown Denise "Baby D" Payne to headline its Christmas show. Homegrown clowns were outraged. "We are funny," said British clown "Mr. Jam". "American clowns are all shout and glitter." Mr. Jam and dozens of other clowns protested at Heathrow Airport upon Baby D's arrival. How do clowns protest? They threw pies and tickled police officers.

The soldiers start finding hidden cameras around the bunker and realize they are on a reality show. It turns out to be a joint venture between Iron Chef and Survivor. Unfortunately, human flesh is the secret ingredient. In the climactic scene, Alton Brown rips the head off Jeff Probst, lets out a blood-curdling scream, bites off his nose and proclaims it to be "good eats".
