Are your settings set to view sigs? I didn't until today.

You should post the sig with the ""s and "[SIZE="1"][/SIZE.]"s as well, so they don't need to contstruct it. :)

I keep sigs on, since it gives a little insight into the character of some of the posters. You can immediately single out the spammy, to the 'all-too-serious', to the long-time-posters.

I don't personally use a sig. Not because I'm 'anti-sig', I just don't feel like it.

Of course. Mine helps me find my posts, others help me find other people's posts, and they make the forums more colourful and interesting.

I do not have sigs turned on. If someone insults or offends me in sig, I want to be prepared to be ignorant of it.

Of course I have sigs on. How else would I find my posts in a thread. It's good to be able to pick up reading from where you left off.

The choice for me, sig free. I figure that if you need to quote your own pearls of wisdom from your past posts in each and every post you make, then you have long ago probably lost any ability you might have once had to be quoteworthy. It sort of smacks of either arrogance and braggadocio or indicative of a subconcious inferiority complex. I prefer to try to live in the here and now, and to try to maintain a keen satirical edge.

Why do so many people who have sigs not have the settings such that they view sigs? Why? Why bother to make one if you're of the mindset that they're not worth reading?

Personally I didn't know you could turn off sigs... I'll probably keep them turned on, because sometimes it's more interesting to read and reply to sigs than what the thread is actually about.

As for finding people's posts quickly well... that's what the highlight tool in firefox is for WYTYG. :p
