This happens all the time. Hell, it almost happened to our canton, at least twice that I know of. Small groups can become easily divided, especially over small stuff that you wouldn't think would be important.

See the various communist parties of Britain in the seventies - The Popular British Communist Party, the British Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the British Communist Party (Trotskyist Revolutionary), the People's Communist Party of Britain, The Popular People's Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) etc. etc.

All really had the same view on what would help society. But due to minor differences on the interpretation of what is communist "best practise", the original British Communist Party split into a vast plethora of groups (see The Life of Brian for a piss-take).

No, he wasn't. He wasn't really either pro- or anti- anyone, since he got along with both the Soviets and the West (although far more of his armaments came from the former), and had an officially non-aligned foreign policy.

I guess the state figures that at those speeds, the kids will be sufficiently safe. Of course, this is south Florida, and some of the traffic jams we get down here are epic, so who knows?
