Police get away with murder

The police yet again aren't held responsible for their actions. Yet again, a member of the public suffers.

He was resisting arrest, or fell in the cells or something.
Anyway, it's a little late to be outraged by plod, no?
The article didn't give any details on the incident, I really don't know whether to think this is a travesty or if there was simply no real evidence against the officers.

aarrghhhhhhhhhhh!!!
This is one thing that does my head in - when judges in jury cases make a decision in place of the jury... what't the point of a jury being there if the judge can decide what verdict they should announce? O.K. so there might have been no case to answer, but it's up to the jury to decide when the case has got that far, NOT the judge.

The left in the UK has done away with double jeopardy and juries. (Or is at least trying to).

If you follow the links on the top right, it gives you all the articles back to when it happened.
Pretty shocking, actually, to start with the later ones that sound so harmless and then go back to what actually happened.
Unfortunately, all the other articles aren't exactly what I would call a comprehensive account or anything either, so yeah. But even so, that these policemen go scot free after this is a farce.
Did you hear there's violence in the middle east?

look at the police in italy, man utd vs roma. The way they treated the english fans was disgusted, i understand that force is needed, but tipping people out of wheelchairs and hitting old people with batons doesnt solve the problem.....

Even if, and that's a big if, they were trying to do that (Double Jeopardy is only removed after a long legal procedure when there is new complling evidence) the Uk hasn't had a left wing government for decades.
