apparently they were gathering "intelligence" on the Iranians.
anyone heard about this?

Lets explain the logic of your 'friend' how much spying could they do out in the the gulf? Hmm? Spy of some Iranian fish maybe?

Really? I thought the 15 "sailors" were just "fishing" in their "rubber" boats there, for no reason at all.

The fact that they were 15, three squads of 5 men each is nothing but a coincidence.

The fact that the british were ready to go to war and were scared shitless that they were being interogated is nothing special too.
