Before I go any further, I would like to state categorically that I am NOT trying to minimise the suffering or reality of female victims of domestic abuse, nor am I trying in any way to suggest that there are not more female victims of domestic abuse than male.
I just thought it worth pointing out, for once, that men can be victims too, and that this is very rarely mentioned. Well done, BBC, for bringing it up.
And well done to this refuge for providing help, to men as well as to women.
A charity helping male victims of domestic abuse says it needs to move to a bigger "safe house" after being inundated with appeals for help.
