Well, I'm thinking of buying a webcam in a couple weeks, and I've been doing a small bit of searching on line, but I was just wondering if anyone here knows of any good ones they could suggest? I'd rather get one that's relatively cheap, but I'm willing to shell out, say, 50 or 60 $CAD for one. If there aren't any decent ones for that price, I'm willing to go a bit higher. So, any tips?

No idea, never wanted one, but...

Fifty or sixty whats? Pounds? Euros? Dollars (and then, US, Canadian, Australian, Hong Kong...)? This is a very international forum, despite the .co.uk in the URL ;)

I accidentally bought a decent combination webcam/microphone with nightvision capabilities for £15 from ebay, I'd suggest you have a hunt around there.

Then you were lucky. Most of the stuff I bought on there was shit.

You could just head down to your local computer store and ask someone there. If not, try Amazon, they do a lot of good stuff.

It's got its disadvantages too, such as the manual being in broken English, the damn thing being on even when I turn my computer off (the little LED infrared lights glow insanely red), the microphone being a tad shit and it uninstalling itself if I move my computer around. Apart from that it's high video quality and I get to scare people with my B&W face with scary glowing eyes :D

We had a houseparty a while ago where one of the bedrooms was open for depositing coats and the like. We set up the camera in there to capture anyone who tried to screw, so we could sort of punish them by putting it on our TV (via a network link). People had sex in our toilet, a cupboard and outside against my car, but not in that room. My conclusion? Horny drunk people are fucking stupid.
