Robert Menzies.

In your opinion, who was the best PM of Australia?
Personally mine was Curtin, an avid socialist and union member, and got us through WWII.

The one with the moustache.
Also, the one that drowned.

Poll up, obviously I can't put them all up, but I put up the most notable.

Well, seeing as not even one of the ones you listed wore a mustache, and you didn't include Harold Holt, my vote goes for Ed Barton. No one's improved on the original just yet, save for my first and second (unlisted) choices.

Sorry, I only had 10 boxes:)
Australian Prime Ministers? I thought Australia was just a myth spread by the British...

He was one of the better few.

Speaking of Curtin, there will be an ABC TV-movie about him sometime this year.

Yeah I saw the commercial, looks interesting. ABC seems to have all of a sudden taken on a 'We love Australia!' tune, with all the stuff recently.

Meh. Usually most of their big docos/dramas are based on Australia/Australian history. Probably just seems like it is all of a sudden because of the increase in drama they are producing. Dunno if you've seen the stats for the production for the last few years but with the exception of a few MD episodes they barely made shit all.

Menzies. He was the only reason any of my family got to go through Uni, and we would all be SO much worse off without that. So, I see him as having done the most good.
Followed by Curtin, followed again by Holt.

Ben Chifley. Restored Australia's economy post WWII, started the Snowy Mountains Scheme, and didn't suck up to us Americans.
Probably the last PM that didn't suck.

I voted Paul Keating because he used Lady Pusillinamous to refer to an opposition's wife.
Otherwise, Bob Hawke for having a drug addict kid and still having the country love him...

Curtin for me.
But seriously, who voted for Howard? Who in hell voted for Howard?
