What a terrible April Fools day. I've seen ONE good prank so far, and it was Google's. What? No epic 'Homeland Security' this year? And this isn't the only place, either. Everywhere else I go to that usually has one has nothing. Have they just given up? Or are they waiting till later in the day.

On the bittorrent site I use someone upped "Kylie.Minogue.South.France.Pussy.Shot.Feb07.jpg". We all knew it was fake but downloaded it anyway and got an eye full of... something yucky.

I think April Fools' Day has been sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.

One of the torrent sites I'm a regular at gave us a multipage questionaire to check that we actually possessed TV licenses...

The developer of a game I play(Nexus War (www.nexuswar.com)) announced some pending changes to the game, a whole load of overpowered skills and items. It was pretty funny.

Kingdom of Loathing had an amusing April Fool's "Preview" of content that most players have been salivating for for months. It's all fake, but pretty damn funny.

My mother woke me up early in the morning (I later found out it was about 5 am) to tell me that one of my friends was knocking on the front door asking for me. I had to go through all the pain of getting up, dressing, and getting to the front door before realizing that no one was there. I can still here her laugh in the distance...

One online newspaper had a sevice where you could trace any cell-phone owner in the world through Google Earth, and they had a flash animation searching for the location and zooming in on the "target" after you presented a number... The page is down now though...

It was obvious but funny :p

One of the papers I read had a story about a new dog poo recycling scheme with special automats that gave you two kronor for every hectogram of poo you deposited. Another paper had a story on emissions taxes on people with flatulence.

A Swedish-Finnish paper had a story about a pink cloud of spirit fumes drifting towards Vasa after an explosion was to have happened at a Koskenkorva distillery.

The Pirate Bay had a story about moving their server park to the North Korean embassy in Stockholm (NK has no diplomatic missions to Sweden, by the by) and praising the great Kim Jong-Il for giving them diplomatic immunity.

SAS issued a bulletin about using helium aboard planes in order to make them lighter during take-offs and landings.

That's quite brilliant. I doubt my local papers have any clever articles, as they never do any other time of the year.
