Tony Blair to branch into acting after his stint as PM?

Buh? I mean... Tony Blair playing a Puritan reverend raving about the devil and witches? Maybe this is a bit scary.
Some MPs have, however, expressed concern. One senior cabinet minister, who did not wish to be named, said: 'An ambassador arrived at Number 10 the other day to find Tony dressed like a Puritan, waving a crucifix in the air and shouting about chasing out the devil. Fortunately the ambassador had studied The Crucible at UCL.'

It's true; did you see his Comic Relief Sketch, and of course his time on the Simpsons? Apparently, he really enjoyed them, and so he's going to do it as his long term career.

Sort of like Reagan, but in reverse.

Sort of like Reagan, but in reverse.I briefly caught a glimpse of the Catherine Tate sketch, but since I don't really find her funny I flicked past. All I saw was her, and some guy's head. I looked like he was meant to be Blair and I just assumed there was an actor playing him. Like Jon Culshaw. I only later found out that it actually had been Blair himself.

So Blair is doing the Reverse Reagan. Hmm.

Well, this should be interesting... Do politicians make for good actors? :headbang:

I forgot... it's required :D

I say he should go for it. He couldn't possibly be worse than Hugh Grant. [vomit smiley]

I mean, really, does this strike you as remotely credible?

Hehe.
I once went into work early on April 1 morning and put up Christmas decorations. That messed with everyone's head.

Indeed - I could be wrong but doesn't the writer's name 'Pahli Tarik' sound like politic. Can't figure out Primera Delmes...First...?

It's a bit odd, but isn't it already the 4th or 5th of April in England? I forget my timezones sometimes.

If I'm correct, the word April can be arranged from the letters in the journalist's name and Primera means 'first' in Spanish. Neither Pahli, nor Delmes exist as words. I just thought it was interesting.

'delmes' does mean something in Spanish, I just don't know what - any fluent spanish speaker out there?

Pahli Tarikh was an Indian actor, but I think the...ammm....word that sounds like another, is possibly a reason

'Mes' meaning 'month'.

And 'del' meaning 'of the.' So... 'of the month'

Primera Del/mes... "first of the month"

They're obviously pointing out that it's April Fools.

Did you do as the BBC recommended and plant some pasta in a jar of tomato sauce?

Good call.
Did you do as the BBC recommended and plant some pasta in a jar of tomato sauce? No, I don't have any jars of tomato sauce. I make tomato sauces myself, from fresh. I never normally make enough to be stored in a jar. So instead I've just been watering the pasta and it does indeed appear to be growing. Whether that's just because it's absorbing the water has yet to be determined.
