I only post spasmodically when work allows, but Smunkee has always been around. What happened to upset her so much? I did notice that she had been down lately by her posts, the last time I was about and she was posting was the question about the boy with ADHD that she was tutoring.

Yeah, she's all around a really nice person.

I'm just a semi-lurker here, but I always enjoyed reading Smunkees posts and although I didn't always agree with her ideas and views, she is certainly a respectful and gracefull person, always showing tact. That's rare and valuable. I hope she knows she's well-liked here and comes back soon...

This is the exact reason why she left.If this is in fact so, then then leaving is a very strange move of her.
I asked her what the nature of her beliefs were and on what she based her beliefs. She just had no answer and only got into evasive maneuvers by questioning my interest in her motivation. Thus I had to conclude that her faith is more of a gut feeling than any reasonable position.
Maybe she is indeed now re-examining her beliefs, which is a good thing no matter what the outcome will be.
