I came across that a few weeks ago, having never heard of it before. I was reading the entry on Pastafarianism and clicked the link to the 'Joke Religions' category. Although I'm not embarrassed I missed the reference.

Yes, that's how I found it too, just now. And you should be.

The part about souls going up to the roof and staying there...it's awfully familiar...it's bugging me.

Same here. I was surprised that there was an articale on Wiki that didn't even mention Fris himself!

I'd assumed it was just an inside-NS joke.... :(

I'd heard of it before I joined NS. Got a good laugh when I saw Fris' name. :D

What came first, the frisbee or the egg... I mean, the moderator?

Well Fris IS awfully old...*ducks*

Actually, did he explain his name once in one of those 'origins of your name' threads?

I think George Carlin came up with it in the 70's. I adopted it as my official religion sometime around then, and it was a natural choice when signing up here.

Did you at one point mention the souls going up to the roof and staying there thing? Or did I dream it?

It's certainly possible, but I'm not reviewing nearly 10,000 posts to make sure.

No no, that's okay, I'll just assume it's probably the case. Then I can stop worrying I'm crazy.

So the frisbee did indeed come first...

Knew about this before I joined. Caught the reference. Though that's partly because I'm relatively new here, and partly because I've been following (not following religiously, but rather keeping tabs on) Pastafarianism for some time.
