Should he? I am against his ideas of ALL videogames being evil however mmporg nerds annoy me and keep trying to make me and my friends play their games.

I blame his rampage on Pong: San Andreas.

I'd be really pissed if someone like Jack Thompson had his way...I need my every-so-often dose of Grand Theft Auto, Postal 2, Manhunt, or some other freakishly insanely violent game, or I'd probably literally go postal myself. It's a good vent, and a way to blow off some time.

As to MMORPG's however, I fully support getting people off their asses and into a gym, where their $15 a month would be much better spent. When you play too many MMO's, the only muscles that gain strength are the hands and forearms, enough to do the five-knuckle shuffle--at the gym it's a lot more.

(I should speak...I need to go to the gym myself...)

I defend your right to go and do with your time what you please (as long as your not killing babies or being a bloody git).

I play an MMORPG, I pay the money for it. I am not obese, I am a member of a health club, and I keep my life balanced. I don't bug my friends who have no interest in MMORPGs to play them.

I don't criticize your hobbies, so don't criticize mine. I could care less what the rest of you folks think of MMORPGs, it's my life, money and I what I do with that life is none of your business.

Jack Thompson needs to have a self-realization episode. He is just another stupid prat who has a deep seeded inner need to rule everyone else's lives, because he believes his was is the only way, or he has an overdeveloped Hitler gene, or he is a pathetic attention getter. File him under the category "ignore with extreme prejudice" and move on.

If he did, it would be the most slightly competent move he has made against the gaming industry.

I strongly recommend philately as a hobby to Mr. Thompson.
