England vs. Andorra

So. England are playing Andorra right now, and I'm listening to it on the radio. It's pathetic. They've had two shots on goal in 25 minutes, and everyone is understandably pissed off. Bets, anyone? Premonitions? Feelings about Steve Mclaren?

It's such a boring match. England are playing slightly better than 20 minutes ago but still.....it's not good. If we draw to Andorra what chance do we have?

Meh.

Seriously, meh. There is nothing good about this England side - the players are not even close to as good as their hype and/or their pay packets suggest, the manager is a shit coach who got lucky with a cup at JUST the right time to cash in with the national team's job and when we cannot even best Israel - ISRAEL, powerhouse that they are - something is rotten in Denmark, Denver and fucking Cornwall as well.

So yes. "Meh" is a perfectly acceptable response for an England side who does nothing to inspire any positive feelings in me what so fucking ever. I absolutely hate them - and the sad thing is that I'm English, and I'm a football fan.

Regarding the Germany game: Bugger. I mean, there were four new guys and a bunch who never really play, but it looks like German football isn't strong enough yet to beat other sides with a B-Team. The new goalie did a good job though.

Pity about Löw's record though.

Especially since we only have a population of 1.7m. With only males (considering that we're talking about the mens team), that gives only 850,000 people to choose from.

Then take out those who play gaelic games. Probably leaves about 6/700,000 people to actually pick from. Not bad going.

I hate Mourhino. Other managers have respect for other teams:
"Well, they're certainly a tough team to play against, we'll need to be in good form to pick up all three points."

Whereas, Lord Jose:

Big difference.

He scores good ones for Leeds, too, even if these days it's not as often as you'd like. Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGYB_nHwzKA)'s a decent compilation. All seem to be goals for Leeds (except for the last, NI v England).

At least Wenger respects other teams, though.

I just sometimes wish he'd give the green light for the defence to lump the ball forward to a big guy up front who can actually out-muscle another team's defence. Passing it around is all well and good, but there's no way Arsenal should be losing to Fulham, Manchester City, West Ham or Sheffield United (yep, we've managed to lose to all four of them this season).

Here's the league table if we'd won those games:
1st Manchester United P 30 Pts 75
2nd Chelsea P 30 Pts 69
3rd Arsenal P 29 Pts 67

Premier League/FA Cup - Hoyte and Walcott are semi-regular.

Well, yes, you're second. But France and Italy (and Ukraine, actually) have played a game fewer than you.

So far Scotland have had one unexpected result - beating France. Italy comfortably beat them on Wednesday, and had it not been for Beattie's last-minute winner against Georgia, you'd be far less pleased.

Having said all that, it would be good to see Scotland qualify for Euro 2008 - it's just rather unlikely. They need to win at home to Ukraine and Italy at least, as well as beating Georgia, Lithuania and the Faeroes again. Not going to happen. Sorry.

LOL yeah. I guess my point is that the England team is mostly comprised of players from teams that rely on foreign players.
