In a prospective mate or just in general, what are some things you find to be unattractive? I personally don't like women without convictions or self-respect.

Taking oneself too seriously.

One who has a need to start an argument in any conversation or has a grudge against others even for the slightest offense.

Grating tone of voice. That's huge. Complete dealbreaker.

People whom are fat due to eating unheatly.

I do not want to be a father, and I just simply can't date single mothers because I just can't, it's just not something I'm willing to do, and really it's more of a personal preference than anything. I don't mind nieces and nephews, I just don't want children myself.

Eh I'm just not a big kid person, I just don't want to be tied down to one, I like my independence, and my priorities are different than what would be considered "normal" priorities. IE they do not involve settling down and raising a family.

STDs.

I find a lack of humour and lack of sponatanianity a big turn off. Also I hate those who are so up tight that they look down on everyone else. All I look for in a girl is someone who I can have fun with whenever I'm with them and also has dignity and intelligence. Looks play a part too.

I would also like to add children. I do not want to be a father, and I just simply can't date single mothers because I just can't, it's just not something I'm willing to do, and really it's more of a personal preference than anything. I always seem to find the one guy/girl that wants to have offspring. I don't have that mommy insticne and I tell them that.

I can't stand someone who's overly idealistic. I'm very pragmatic. I don't really care that "that's how things should be." If you want to be actively invovled in politics (ect.) great, but work on what you can change. Don't talk my ear off day in and day out about how things ought to be, especially when you don't have a plan of action for making things "how they ought to be."

I also can't stand people who want to change me. On the second date I lay down that rule. Simply, that's why we date people. If you don't like me, then break up with me. I'll do the same. You can always offer me suggestions but nagging me about why I spend all of my weekends at the airport or why don't I go to school for X Y or Z is an absolute deal breaker. I also lay out who I am fairly early on, so it's not like one day I just say "oh, by the way."

except the usual, like physical deformities or bad hygiene or just plain uglyness i guess i don't like fat. other than that i can't really think of other physical traits that i find really unattractive. it depends on the person, some thinks are unattractive for one person, while they look good on another, glasses for instance.
personality-wise i don't realy know what i find unattractive. i think i don't find it attractive when a girl likes me a lot, i don't know why. also extreme right-wingness, stupidness and extreme religiousness are quite unattractive, but that doesn't mean i only like intelligent left-wing atheists.
i guess you could say that i don't really believe in lists like that, actually i find them quite stupid.

There are three main turn-offs for me:

Blond hair is a huge turn off. The number of blond girls who end up being stupid valley girls is so high that I ended up painting them all with the same brush (exception if its they are rocking some real short hair, like Dolores O'Riordan.)

Also, if they relish in their stupidity. I dont mind girls who are not as smart as me, but if I am trying to explain something to them whether it is a psychological concept or how the local public transit works, it drives me nuts if they always "dont want to hear about it" because learning is boring.

Lastly, when women expect/insist that I pay for their meal. If we are both earning incomes to support ourselves on, then they need to use their income to feed themselves. Sometimes they act suprised (I always make it clear we are going dutch beforehand.) If a woman is is not even cappable of being self-sufficient and supporting herself, then I want nothing to do with her. I can spend my money on much more enjoyable things than feeding everyone I know.
