What is the world coming to?

I just recently lost a very close friend on sunday morning. He was found early in the morning by his parents and was announced dead at the hospital. Family and friends both were in pieces. I know this kid Sean, who's known Scotty since he (Scotty) was 3. Just a freshman in high school, his older-brother-that-he-never-had was gone. H*** his dad was a mess. My Friend Dom woke up to the text messege that his best friend, almost a brother, just hung himself. This is the third friend I've had to bury in less than a year. I can hardly think straight. Whats going on? Any other stories?

Time to get new friends.

Healthy and sane ones.

Myself, I never lost anyone important in my life. I guess that is one of the good things about being brazilian.

Might want to reassess your life. These might not be the healthiest relationships.

If your friends are having problems that you do know about and share with you, SOME people try to help them out instead of thinking "What is best for Me?". But if they dont open up, you just don't see it coming...

My advise is be a billionaires best friend

Or better yet comfort other people that helps (something we got from chimps I suspect)

You're missing my point. Of course you want to be there for your frineds. It might behoove you to not have so many friends with such baggage. It makes you unhealthy too.

Did you physically help bury them or just attended the funeral?

Stop hanging out with emo or Darwin award kids...

Does this fit the "emo/darwin award" description?
Varsity wrestler, semi pro racer, Senior Prom All four years in high school. Not quite 'emo.''

As for the burial, it's later this week.

semi pro racer

that's quite dangerous, you might want to look for someone who has a job at a desk or something.
other than that: :fluffle: and maybe go to real people instead of an online forum if you feel bad.

Me, too.

And the rest of you, with your "Reassess your relationships," bugger off and let the Armadillo mourn. Sheesh, talk about cold.

Well I have had four friends commit suicide over the past four years and another two a police officer and a security guard both brutally murdered in the line of duty but, you have to remember them as your friends but you also have to move on as well. not necessarily get new ones but you do have to move on.

Not cold. Just a painful road to travel down. I've known too many people over the years who collect troubled friends. It's doesn't lead to good places.

Some real advice is going to help this guy more than sympathy from strangers anyway.

Of course they don't, otherwise they wouldn't do it. They think, however irrationally, that their friends and family do not care, and would not be saddened by them 'leaving'. In most cases at least.

My condolensces also to the OP.

Or they think they are a burden to their friends/family and think they'd be better off without them.

i blame the world, and frankly i'm not surprised people are killing themselves.
