Right now it's Lost. I watched an episode of Heroes last night; it was ok, but it flicks between different characters' stories too much. It started to get annoying before the end of the episode, so I don't think I'll be watching much more of it.

Out of all the shows there, Family Guy and the Simpsons are the only ones I don't intensely hate.

EDIT: And Monty Python.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm obsessed...but it really is the best thing on tv at the moment. Even though I'm in the UK and I don't have Sky. So I download each episode the day after it's shown in the US. But I'm not obsessed.

Top Gear.

Totally forgot about that. Best show on terrestrial tv right now. Watching James May attempt to start up a tractor was the funniest thing on tv since...erm...him and Hammond launched a Robin Reliant on the back of a rocket. :D

:D That was fantastic. It was really disappointing that it didn't work.

I also love the aqua-cars, and the time they got stoned in Alabama was genuinely nerve-racking.

I'm a huge fan of CSI, other criminal investigation shows, and murder mysteries.

But I watch so much TV that it's a little hard to pinpoint my highlights of the week. http://www.studip.uni-goettingen.de/pictures/smile/eek4.gif

Apart from that, documentaries of all kind are my favorite when it comes to "serious" TV shows. Be it history or science or nature, or whatever else there might be. :D

The problem with House is that every episode is pretty much the same.

And Hugh Laurie's accent.

It's formulatic, yes, but it makes for some good guesses.

And frankly, I can hardly picture the same man who plays grumpy, arrogant, assholish House speaking with a British accent.

On the cartoon side, Futurama by far, then The Griffins, The Simpsons and Inuyasha.

Invader Zim is a really good show.

But for my money, the best show on TV right now is The Wire. Fantastic actors, superb scripting and the only police show which doesn't resort to simple good vs. evil morality.

It's ostensibly about a special task force of the Baltimore police force, an amalgamation of personel from the Narcotics and Homicide divisions, set up to tackle high-ranking members of Baltimore's drug underworld. But unlike any other cop show, this case doesn't end at the close of the first episode. It's a pocedural show, written by an ex-Baltmore cop., so we see the real grind of work the police do; all the beuracrac, internal politics and general BS that everyone, from the bobby on the beat, up to the head of the police dept., have to deal with.

Moreover, we also see the other side of the equation; the wheeling and dealing of the drug trade, from the junkies on the street, up to the politicians getting campaign money from dubious sources. There are no true goodies and baddies, just as in life, and the show stars old and current Baltimore police and those involved with the drug trade.

For the love of all that is good and holy, if you haven't seen The Wire, please do so. Any fan of sterling TV drama (Sopranos, Deadwood, etc.) will love the show.

Enough gushing?

Everything about her gets on my nerves -- the voice, the "I'm hot" (and she's not even close) attitude, all of it. Adam mostly irritates me because he's round-shouldered (I'm petty like that :p ). FFS, posture! Stand up straight, man!

Really? I've always thought it was an extremely popular show. More popular than Graham Linehan's recent effort, The IT Crowd, which IMO is one damn funny show.

Though anything with Chris Morris will probably make me laugh.

The Simpsons is the best thing that has happend to TV ever. It's smart and funny. To bad it seems to be loosing it's touch in the later years but overall, the Simpsons is the best show ever. Family Guy is funny to but it doesn't come close to the simpsons.
