supplement my income!

This is something I've been wondering for awhile now. My parents rent out two houses to supplement their income, each house rakes in about $600 a month. However, dealing with tenants and basically idiots that they rent out to is not that much fun, so I doubt I will be getting into the landlord market. So I've thought about other ways to supplement an income, and so far I've come up with either bonds or stocks, does anyone else have a system to supplement their income?

Yea, umm, that's not an option because my parents like to add strings, so yea.
ChaCha. Easy, and you get to have fun with trolls!

selling drugs is easy and profitable.
Get your parents hooked by sneaking some coke into their sugar and that way you won't even have to leave home to search for customers.

Get another job?
Really, that's what you're already doing with stocks, getting the additional job of stock investor.
Personally I'm hoping to marry some incredibly sexy hot young female billionnaire and be her manslut.

Two of my three jobs are part tips so I sometimes get as much as $200 in tips in a single day. Amazing thing 'tis.

Mine do too. I am trying to get financially independent though; for two reasons a) it'd give me a greater deal of security and b) I do not like the feeling that I am leeching off them (in spite of their repeated assurances that I am not). So for now the goal remains to get a job, and then to make the money work for me via low-yield investments and such. Apparently I'll be inheriting some property from my grandparents, so that's an avenue I might consider too.

Well yeah, you're in NYC. Anybody who has a job that accepts tips (and frowns upon non-tipping) in that city should expect a lot of money in a day just from that.

Ever since I and everyone I know turned 16, we've either gotten a job, sold pot, commited larceny, or have been constantly broke.
I, of course, fall under the last category. ;)

Yea, but with stock investing, you could just hire people to do the work for you. All I really need is money to fund my aviation hobby which could go anywhere from $600 a month to $2,000 a month.

It is by far one of the best ways to keep ahead. Even messing with the renters it is tops.

Yea, but I don't want to deal with the people. One of the last renters we've had was a mess. She would let her boyfriends live in the rental house all the time and that was in clear violation of the Lease Agreement, and then she had this grandpa who apparently was a career criminal who stole stuff around the neighborhood including my friend's ATV, so they got evicted.
Then there was the drug addict....
I just don't want to deal with the people.

Historically yes. But right now, not so much. Plus the leverage atm will kill you. I guess there are some areas where it is still possible, but then you'd have to move there which would suck.

There is a fair chance that Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns will be trading significantly below the levels that they are today within twelve months. I say this only because they have a sizable position in MBS, which are going to be downgraded before the end of the year when the underlying assets depreciate.
I would imagine that buying in the money puts for Jan 08, would give an above average return. But do your own research.
Of course, this is an internet forum, so this is not investment advice, and you would be half a retard to think it was.

If you have a hobby that you've done for a while, make it profitable. Examples:
If you used to play a sport (or still do) see if they pay youth league or high school referees.
If you are good with an instrument, offer lessons.
That's what i want to do while I am in college. Damn that money (and sex) would be great..
