Popular brands you hate.
I thought the other thread said "Popular brands you hate" and I was all set to weigh in on what I think of the craze for pricey handbags...but then it turned out it was about bands.
So, as Sebastian the Crab would say, "You want something done, you got to do it yo'self." Tell me about some popular brands you hate.

All of the above. Especially Budweiser.
I think if the word "popular" is used, I don't like it. Especially clothing-wise.

thanks... for a moment, I thought I was seeing double. So I went to the first one and was wondering how Led Zepplin was considered a BRAND... :p
Macintosh... just for their stupid commercials.
Geico... Hate the Caveman stuff... love the gecko tho...
All the Cig brands. hate the stuff.
The Gap. How I hate the Gap.
Yeah, why are they popular? Their clothes are bland and too expensive.
Macintosh... just for their stupid commercials.
As a someone who worships John Hodgman, I cannot agree with you.

I actually like the cavemen and I'm sick and tired of the gecko. Funny!

Abercrombie, those dumb shirts with the aligators/crocodiles on them, Motorola Razzors, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, essentially non-American fancy ass cars for rich people. Oh, and Apple, the commercils got really old really fast.
I could think of more but I choose not to.

Abercrombie
Gah. I don't know that much about the brand, but people who wear their stuff tend to be annoying. And I've met one of their models, and he was one of the most annoying people I've ever met. So, yeah, I'll amend my statement and say I dislike that brand.

At Six feet and one inch (a bit under two meters) I cannot fold myself into the drivers seat of a Porsche. My knees do not find underneath the steering wheel.

I hate Duracell batteries.
I also hate Apple and their idiotic commercials for everything and their insistance on grabbing a monopoly on the MP3 Player market as direct hypocrisy of their criticism of Microsoft for doing the same with the OS market.
The concept of brand loyalty annoys me far more than brands themselves, though I do try to avoid them at every turn as well...

I think if the word "popular" is used, I don't like it. Especially clothing-wise.
Same here.
I do wear some "popular" brands though, but very sparingly. Many girls I know get all their stuff from Macy's or Aeropostale (or Roxy/Billabong/sk8r brandz), but I get some stuff from other stores and I wear very little of the already-mentioned brands. :)
I hate the "popular" clothing brands... why can't people just have their own styles... stupid American capitalism... :headbang:
I alos have to say Apple, Axe (spray-on deodarant for those not in the know... dig up a commercial and you'll know why!), and and celebrity-inspired brand.
Microsoft, Apple, Sony, HP, the GAP, EA, IKEA, Chevrolet, Ford, Tommy Jeans. Um, all I can think of off the top of my head.

I loathe apple with a passion, especially their alleged 'alternative hipness' image. I especially hate how the media seems to refer to ipods as a seperate entity to mp3 plyers when they're one and the same. But apart from that, Sony, always Sony.
I think I dislike any brand which puts profit ahead of any sort of quality. For example, Budweiser. Shitty, tasteless blad beer who is only there to make shit loads of cash. Same with McDonalds etc etc.
