I'm not sure they'd want you. Hatred of Israel is hardly a good reason to make such a commitment.

But maybe you can find some really hardline imams for whom it's enough.

Either way, try going to a mosque and asking.

I'd imagine one could go to the local Mosque and speak to the Imam to find out about Islam.

But embracing a religion is a big step, and should not be taken lightly or decided on a whim.

I dont know all the nitty gritty, but I understand it starts with accepting (and submitting to the will of) Allah as the one true God and Mohammed as his true and final profit.

You were one of the the last persons on this board who I expected would find God. Well done, consider Jesus too! I don't know how exactly to help you though. I suggest reading the Qu'ran and then finding the imam of your nearest mosque. He will help you.

Theoretically speaking, I seem to remember reading that it's enough to simply recite "Allah is the One True God and Mohammed is His Prophet" three times.

But presumably you should also actually believe it when you say it.

Go to your local Mosque and say the Shahada in front of at least two Muslim witnesses. And as long as you do it for the right reasons, have a pure heart about it and are completely sure its something you want to do, then you are now a Muslim. I said the Shahada in English and then in Arabic and did it right after Jummah so there were a couple hundred people there. That was a good day.

I converted from "Christianity", I would say loosely because that is what I fall under as a father who is Irish Catholic and a mother who's family is Irish/British Protestant.

Therefore I just picked up the Quran and converted to Islam that has free human rights and woman rights for all depending on where it is practiced and how it is interpretated.

And if anyone things that all Muslims are Israeli-hating child eating people who want to kill everyone that is not Muslim are f***ing idiots, and I couldn't be happier in Islam.
