Arg, my iPod

So, yesterday night, my iPod finally came back to life. The battery was completely wasted, so I let it fully charge. I unplugged the thing, and found out the iPod software was fucked. So I reinstalled Windows, and reinstalled iTunes, and download the iPod restorer, and for the last thirty minutes or so, it has been restoring my iPod. The thing hasn't worked since Christmas, so I may just be remembering incorrectly, but doesn't that seem a little long?

Is it still under warranty? I took my broken one back more than a year after first getting it and got it replaced with no problem.

After a full charge, if I don't use mine for say 1 week the batteries are completely dead, sometimes I can't even turn it on :(

If you do a google search you can find places to get a DIY kit for battery replacement.

It's more likely though that if your iPod just stops working the cable to the hard drive has just come off. It's a simple matter of opening the ipod up and pushing it back in.

I used some cardstock to push the long sides in. The plastic side has little hooks that snap into place when you close it. Be gentle, don't damage it.

In Soviet Russia, hardware fixes YOU!!!
