Yeah, as long as it doesn't lead to me being imprisoned or killed and is at least generally consistent with my ethical principles.

I have been thinking a lot about how the current administration continues to ignore public opinion and criticism and at what cost? I however have noticed that Good Old Duba is vulnerable to flattery. He hires those who agree with him and fires those and even prosecutes those who disagree with him or criticize his actions, decisions or policies.

I figured that the best way to change things around is use this observation in hopes of influencing him. My idea is have a new presidential holiday named after him and get the media to heavily publicize my efforts in order to do so. It wouldn't matter if I could or not get it turned into a real holiday, all that matters is that it gets a lot of publicity. This would get his attention and hopefully his ear. If I could get him to trust and favor me enough, then maybe he would be more open to suggestions. Then I could get him to do right and educate him on what is best for the country.

Also: Dear sweet merciful God, is that one of the worst ideas I have ever heard. Yes, it's always good to have your voice heard, but you'd want to keep your soul, too, right? If Bush just standing in a place requires a Mayan spiritual cleansing, what do you think the karmic repercussions are for trying to get a holiday named after him? :p

Protesting does nothing. Maybe it is time to try another angle.


The holiday is not what matters, it is the affect my efforts to make one (regardless it becomes official or not.) would have on his ego and the command it would have on his attention. When some one got a hold of somebody's attention, they got a hold of their mind. I plan to use such influence for the better good.
