I love this game, I spent many an hour of my childhood on it.

Oh, and what games consumed all the hours of your childhood?

Super Mario World and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time I just downloaded both onto my Wii, now I can reminisce about all the time wasted.

I prefer Monolith's version (http://qbris.com/super_mario_world.html)... it's just more fun.

Also, you can play the original Mario here (http://www.mofunzone.com/online_games/mario_brothers.shtml). To get to the game, press: space bar, space bar, X, X.

Only down side is there's no sound... :(

Anyone know a good site for Sonic 1 on the Mega Drive?

Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of my favourite N64 Game of all times.

I could spend a whole talking about my fav. games though, so I'll just stop here.

I don't know about an online-playable version, but the Sonic Mega Collection (http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1134643/Sonic_Mega_Collection/Product.html) has all the Megadrive Sonic games in it, except Sonic 3 & Knuckles (although it does have Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, just not at the same time).

You could always get a Megadrive emulator, and then the rom image of the game. If you don't own the cartridge then this is Naughty, and I'm sure the mods would slap me if I gave you links, but Google Knows All. Just be careful in those bits of the internets, some of them can be dodgy.

My youth-wasters were the Sonic games and Defenders of Oasis on the Game Gear, and then I got a Megadrive when I was 11 so more Sonic games for me!

I'm a little surprised that it's Naughty. They've not sold the consoles in years; it seems a bit odd that they would still be concerned it.

They may well not care, although some games (Sonic would be an example) are still sold on other systems. Even if they don't, it's still copyright infringement... And even if you don't care, and there's 0 chance of you getting caught, you ought to at least know ;)

Aah, I just looked at my Megadrive emulation directory... James Pond 3! Dynamite Headdy! Sonic CD! Ecco! I'm going to pop, and it'll be all this thread's fault :D

Well, I don't like to do Naughty things. Is it ok if I once had the games and then gave them to charity? :p

I remember spending the better part of my gaming childhood playing Star Wars Dark Forces, MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries and MechWarrior 3. It's unfortunate that I can't find any of those games anymore.

Probably not :(

Although I'm not a lawyer, I don't know if there are any tricky workarounds.

Still, you can buy it, official, and get loads of other Sonic games for eight quid - bargain :)
(Although you might be annoyed to find out the way it works is by emulating a Megadrive ;) )
