I've heard of this holiday. I think it's also known as "every night in Finland".

It's like St. Patrick's Day, except it celebrates NSG drunks and boozers, and it can last as long as you can see straight. Whether you get drunk on American water or European beer, it doesn't matter as long as by the end of the day you're as a drunk as a monkey's uncle.

I'm not celebrating St. Paddy's day, I'm using it as an excuse to avoid my non-starter of a dissertation (3000 words by thurs, 0 words written, woot!) and get pished for the first time in over a week.

Come Easter, I'm really making up for this excess blood in my alcohol stream

Let's see if you start now, that'd only be 600 words a day.

I plan to start tomorrow, hung over. If anyone fancies writing a 3000 word essay on "scaffolding proteins and their role in the MAPK signal transduction pathway" for me, feel free. :(

Sorry, ole' pal, science isn't my area. I could write a 3,000 word paper on the effects of technological advancements on the causes and effects of inflation since the Great Depression though. :(

I was in the Student's Union since 11am this morning. A few drinks, then rugby (fuck you Ronan O'Gara), then more drinks, then the Scotland-France match (fuck you France), the more drinks.

Got home about 10 mins ago.

A little less than sober.
