Stupid move.

A Christian school changed the story of the three little pigs to three little puppies to avoid offending Muslims. As if dogs are considered halal animals in Islam. They're as haram as pigs if I recall correctly. Also the local Muslims said this.
But Muslim leaders recently condemned the politically correct move as misguided and said decisions like this were turning Muslims into 'misfits' in society.
Changing your own stories and traditions doesn't make you more tolerant of others. It only shows that you're afraid of and don't trust others. If you want to respect people of other faiths and cultures be yourself and trust that they can deal with it like decent people.

why would a wolf want to eat dogs?
Why not? Wolves will eat carrion or any animal they can kill. Dogs included. They are carnivores after all.
Of all places to try and make Muslims happy, a Christian school. Strange.
Well, at least they aren't the intolerant kind that call crusades on the muslims.

Putting aside the whole "alienating muslims" thing, who the norway would want to eat a dog anyway?
I don't know. Immigrant Asian families maybe?

Chinese, Indonesians, Thai... and some folks in Switzerland.
None of those would be very familiar with the story in question, though.

THIS IS A THUMB SANDWICH. I CAN ONLY MAKE ONE MORE.
If that isn't good enough, I can always supply the originals.

Now that's interesting. Tell me more. I've never heard about it, and I live there. What makes you say this?

Of course.
Refernce the first:
Wolf:No hands, no mouth. In Nexus War one character class can change into a wolf, in this so called wolf form it can't interact with the enviroment or speak. A running joke is that is has no hands and no mouth. Though the latest update allows them to growl.
Reference the other:

Seems spoiler and url don't interact well.

This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_meat#Switzerland), mostly. And some reports I read years ago, but they don't seem to be online.

Originals always win, but heres (http://www.vetari.com/wiki/images/5/5b/Sandwichman.png) the one that started it all.
EDIT: I seem to have mixed up the order. I also forgot that the ASS AND POO one is the one that made it famous, but is not the original edit.

As was pointed out in that story about the asshat from Houston who decided to hold pig races next door to the land where Muslims were building a mosque, Muslims don't have pig-o-phobia. They just don't eat them. It not like you can ward Muslims off by wearing a bacon necklace or something--though you may attract other unwanted attention by doing so.

This is exactly, exactly, what I am sick and tired of. There is a fine line between common politeness and tolerance, and complete absurdity, which this doesn't just cross, but vomits all over. Nobody is offended by this, just as nobody is offended by celebrating Christmas (as opposed to 'Winterval') or having prisons in a majority white area, as if that is somehow not acceptable in a majority white country. But as usual, it's a few idiots here and there that throw common sense out the window and put everybody else out. But that's not the worst of it: once a few local councillors who nobody likes do something like this, the right wing populist noise machine revs up, and the next thing Gays/Muslims/Blacks/Elves/Tapioca Pudding is all out to destroy British culture, don't integrate, hate free speech and the PC Liberal Elite is loving every second of it.
When everybody thought it was madness anyway. That's what gets me.

Not to get too far off topic here, but if this is the controversy I'm thinking of, the issue isn't with the prison location, it's the use of the prison's inmates--particularly their racial makeup--as part of the calculus of the population division for determining congressional districts. It's a way of claiming that on paper there's a greater racial balance in a district even when most of the African-Americans in that district are incarcerated and unable to vote. It's a particularly despicable form of gerrymandering.
It's also a great way to bring jobs to certain areas. The towns around upstate New York's prisons rely heavily on jobs and money brought in by the prison system.

I think you're thinking of a different controversy. I'll try and find a link, and then try and not rant. I'm quite grouchy today.:)

I dunno about you, but I thought this was a big improvement over their previous change of the three little pigs, the three little christian babies and the big bad jew.
I think this is a good idea. Presumably the school will now ask Muslims to rewrite the offensive parts of their Qur'an.

Are you seriously implying that the Qu'ran is on the same level in the Muslim religion as "The Three Little Pigs" is in the Christian religion? Are you seriously that hateful and misguided?

Some of us don't see much difference between holy books and children's stories. Both contain weird, often brutal stories that sometimes have a message.
