Smunkeeville & others alergic to glutins and all organic folks.

Celtlund

Mrs. Celtlund went to the grocery store the other day and came home with some Brown Rice Snaps, vegetable flavor. They are like crackers and she bought them because she is alergic to barley and highly alergic to rye.

To make a long story short they are absolutely delicous, especially with cheese. They are made with organic brown rice and other organic stuff and contain absolutely no glutens. Today she went back and bought some more vegetable flavored ones and some onion. The onion are also good but not as good as the vegetable. They also make other flavors.

She bought them at Reasors grocery store here in Tulsa and they are $ 3.12 a package. A little pricy but not bad.

If you can't find them locally, here is their web site http://www.edwardandsons.com/rice_snaps.html

Here is a list of their gluten free products http://www.edwardandsons.com/Zero_Gluten_Products.html

Enjoy. :)

There are two types of assholes in the world. There are those who are perfect, and then there are the ones like me that have hemorrhoids. I doubt you have hemorrhoids.

All I’m trying to do here is help out someone who has severe allergies find a few other things they may be able to eat. I thought you wanted to be a doctor and help people yourself, but I guess I was wrong.

You can't do that through a telegram or without hawking one ware by posting its price and how and where to buy it?

I thought you wanted to be a doctor and help people yourself, but I guess I was wrong.

Shilling for a company != helping people.

I was going to mention United Natural Foods which has all kinds of food for special diets. They have buying clubs is quite a few areas.

Don't own any stock in it, just buy from them. Didn't know if it was legal to mention businesses.

The vast majority of the organic food movement is based on anti-intellectualist anti-science and glorifies wasteful agriculture while there are people who are starving. Convincing people that all chemicals will give you cancer/autism/AIDS/*insert boogieman* and that the only way you can stay healthy is to eat food at double the price is a malicious scam, pure and simple.

Nothing's more fun than watching Fass duke it out with a random Generalite. Especially when it's people like Celtlund.

Anyway, this doesn't seem like advertising to me, but what do I know, eh?

It makes you wonder if they're actually playing right into the hands of the companies they so despise.

That said, there are definitely many people who are allergic to certain types of foods. This food is meant for those allergic to glutens, and has nothing to do with the organic craze. Quit overreacting.

No, but when they are with the cereal they are dried or something to preserve them. Not quite the same thing as getting them fresh.

I'd never get those things, flakes. Disgusting, like calling Fruit Loops to be actual fruit.

Oh, the dried kind. I really am not fond of those either. Tastes like cardboard but just enough like strawberries to fool you into thinking you're actually eating strawberries, but I know better.

Wait wait wait... stop the thread...

What are you talking about? How does eating Life cereal seem like cheerios? I don't get it? From what I recall LIFE looks and tastes like it should be one of the Chex brand cereals, like rice or corn chex... but I don't see how it's anything like Cheerios.

Cheerios Ingredients:
WHOLE GRAIN OATS, MODIFIED CORN STARCH, CORN STARCH, SUGAR, SALT, CALCIUM CAROBONATE, OAT FIBER, TRIPOSTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, WHEAT STARCH, VITAMIN E (MIXED TOCOPHEROLS) ADDED TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS.

Life Ingredients:
WHOLE GRAIN OAT FLOUR, SUGAR, CORN FLOUR, WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, RICE FLOUR, SALT, CALCIUM CARBONATE, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, REDUCED IRON, NIACINAMIDE*, ZINC OXIDE, BHT (A PRESERVATIVE), YELLOW 5, YELLOW 6, THIAMIN MONONITRATE*, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE*, RIBOFLAVIN*, FOLIC ACID*.
*ONE OF THE B VITAMINS.

Shouldn't you be allergic to Life cereal?

Is there a different type of life cereal and I have them mixed up?
