But the world is flat now. Our wealth is flowing more easily into the pockets factory owners in China and Latin America. Soon we can have exciting third world standards of living over here. No more traveling to Central or South America to experience third world slums first hand. It's the glorious new economy that people like Thomas Friedman say we should be thrilled with.

Well, if our government keeps blowing money on the middle east it'll happen sooner than we think. It's pure black comedy that during the '04 presidential debates the shrub literally laughed off the idea that the disater in Iraq would cost 200 billion dollars, and all his supporters did too (yes, I'm looking at you, Corny).
