Unfunny comedian/actor Sindbad's death was reported on Wikipedia. Turns out he's not dead for some reason. He continutes to live doing nothing important or interesting. Good for him, I guess.

Gee, I wonder who's responsible for that?

Oh, and by the way,

Will Smith, 1968-2007
Good night, Fresh Prince.

I saw this over on AOL. Rumors of his death and all that. They don't have a "Post Your Thoughts" area for this one, but Imagine it would be filled with threads claiming that it was all an al-Qaeda plot or that Nancy Pelosi was somehow involved.

As long as you're not an idiot Wikipedia is a useful background research tool.

Thats just not funny.

It was meant to compliment (the definition meaning to accompany, not to sweet talk) the statement above it. It was more of a hint towards who I think was responsible. Catch my drift?

If you don't know from the Will Smith statement, then I'm afraid I can't tell you who it is.

Especially if you want to read about how the EMTs put bees in Anna Nicole Smith's mouth to try to revive her.

Great actor that Sinbad bloke.

He's outstanding performance as a mentally unstable postman in 'Jingle All The Way', showcased to all that watched in awe, his range of depth in expressing the angst and emotion of the character he portrayed. Such a performance was surely worthy of a Oscar.

An acting benchmark was set by his performance.

He made De Niro look positively amateur.

Wikipedia is, more or less, useless. It's definitely worth it to spend the money and get some actual books on whatever subject you're trying to research, rather than attempt to rely on wikipedia. Wikipedia is ambiguous, poorly organized, and meaningless to no end.

actually it provides quite allot of data especially the source websites it provides

It's definitely worth it to spend the money and get some actual books on whatever subject you're trying to research, rather than attempt to rely on wikipedia.

You may as well just go on a collection of sites on the matter though especially since the more complex books not only cost an arm and a leg but also provide bias

Wikipedia is ambiguous, poorly organized, and meaningless to no end.

its also more accurate all encyclopaedias only wikipedia is free and generally empty of printing errors

How alien!

And everyone knows that the Encyclopedia Dramatica is the one TRUE encyclopedia. Where else could you find such incredibly useful articles such as 'So i herd u liek mudkip' and 'Raptor Jesus'? Or find out if that camwhore you are looking at is a trap or not? Surely you all can agree that the Encyclopedia Dramatica is greater than Wikipedia in all ways, shapes, and forms?

You are wrong, as pointed out by Call to power, on pretty much every one of those points. It is an extremely useful tool as a starting point for background research or if it isn't for something serious, say you and a friend are arguing over who was President during WWII, then it is more than sufficent. Buying books? Wikipedia has millions of articles; if something suddenly sparks your curiosity then you can quickly jump on wikipedia and get a good, quick and usually reliable answer. Ambiguous? In what ways? The info it gives can sometimes be general and use weasel words etc, but it is constantly being refined, though still has hundreds of thousands of referenced and well-written articles. It is very well organised, with strict and logical structure and disambiguation pages for words or phrases with multiple meanings. Meaningless? Tell that to the millions of people who use and edit it, and derive accurate infomation ten times more quickly than going to their bookshelf or library.

I think Sinbad's actually funny most of the time. I've seen his HBO specials, they were decent.
