Got anything else to add to that?....

As predicted.
You know why? It's because of your darling Republicans--and probably Joe-boy too--voting it down. If you would just cooporate with what the rest of the damned country wants then it wouldn't be a problem.

We need to get some of these people to vote so we can get rid of those who choose to ignore what the people want. And educate those who do vote that voting for someone who will support your social issues (or whatever other reason) but keep us stuck in a war is not a favorable tradeoff. Surely if this happens we will see some real change in Washington. Well, maybe.

Thanks, again, to stupid Republicans and Blue Dog DINOs. Never mind that %60+ of Americans want this shitheaded war over. Let's just keep getting innocent troops killed in a civil war that we shouldn't be involved in.

My guess it would have been Lieberman voting with the Repubs.
Same day, 4 more US troops killed in Iraq:

I would hope so, at least.
Don't mistake me for liking the Dems, though, as I don't like them either. It's just that right now they're at least trying to get us out of the war so I give them a bit more respect.
While I originally didn't think much of the war (every American president marches US soldiers off into some foreign conflict, so none of this should be new to people who pay attention) I now feel that the US has a responsibility to at least not leave Iraq in worse condition than when they first went in. So send in the surge, try to stop the sectarian bloodletting, and if that fails, then apologise for meddling and leave.

I love it how people say I leave when this is an internet forum and I have things to do.
And ya know what? Everyone knew it was going to fail. It was predicted that it was going to fail. My comment was:

y'know, for all your yawning you do, you're going to in danger of hyperventilating.
Indeed, I'd wager you already are.

One wonders how, time after time after time after time you make a thread and then disappear because you "have things to do".
It's amazing isn't it? One would think that if you started a thread to discuss something, you'd actually WANT TO DISCUSS IT.
but no no, you "have things to do", every time. It's not like you don't ever actually THINK of your arguments and are then left floundering when they're shown to be crap.
no, no, you have things to do, coincidentally springing up typically right after YOU make a thread.
I would hope so, at least.

That's fine. We are talking about the war in this thread and if we agree on a position than this is what matters. Other decisions by the Dems don't really matter. :)

Oh grow up. I'm on spring break and enjoying the beautiful city of Philadelphia. I'm also over at my gf's house. Maybe if you bother to get your head out of your ass once in a while, you can actually see that not all of us can be here 100% of the time. Like today, I'm going into downtown Philly in a few hours so when I disappear, I'm going to be in downtown philly.
So yes, I have things to do. I also have to work on an outline for class and back up my laptop's hard drive because my screen is bugging out. Thank the Lord for warrenties.
So why don't you grow up for once in your life.

Like you were when called on Israeli censorship, (ill)legality of the Iraq war, zionist landownership......

I keep confusing you with Eutrusica (sp?) so up until about 3/4ths into the post I'm imagining an old man in Philidelphia, on a laptop, with his girlfriend. And he doesn't fit the scenario -at all-.

I agree, the war in Iraq was a mistake, but apparently your government didn't, to the tune of 2,500 troops initially, now down to 900. Maybe I'm just tired today, but "you guys" annoys me. You've been on NSG long enough to know that most of the Americans posting here are against the war in Iraq. Hell, most Americans are less than happy about it. So please, don't lump us all in with the Busheviks, okay?

Downtown Philly? Excelent! There's free wifi there! You should hang out at the Reading Terminal Market, grab some cookies and a coffee, and defend your position while you sit at one of the many available tables!

How about no.
So you refuse to defend your position?
Why not? I'm sure Ruffy would volunteer to look after your girlfriend.
Gladly! :)
